About Me

Following a career in Law, I retrained and became a Classical Singer. I then moved to Cornwall and started a family. A sense of disillusionment with the trappings and expectations of modern life led me to a spiritual path. Reiki has strengthened and deepened this spiritual practice, as well as providing an opportunity to bring my empathic nature and sensitivity to energies into the field.

I am now a Reiki Master Practitioner and have also trained as a Meditation Guide. After discovering Sound Healing, I felt the call of the drum and trained as a Reiki Drum Practitioner. Sound continues to draw me and I recently qualified as a Sound Healer using voice with the College of Sound Healing. The healing modalities of Sound and Reiki pair beautifully together and I love bringing these together in my work.

I am a member of the UK Reiki Federation and the College of Sound Healing and have full professional insurance.

Pricing

I offer Reiki and Reiki Drum sessions that last approximately one hour for £50.

Distance Healing is also available for £30, with sessions lasting roughly 30 minutes.

The number of sessions required will vary from person to person. One session can make a difference, but a course of treatments can yield greater results. Usually I would recommended having 3 or 4 weekly sessions initially, after which we can discuss an ongoing treatment plan if appropriate.

A sliding scale of payments is available for those on lower incomes for whom Reiki would otherwise be unaffordable. Please contact me should you wish to discuss further.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy healing technique that originated in Japan. It is based on the idea that life energy flows through the body and that when it flows freely, a person experiences a sense of wellbeing. Where there are blockages in the flow however, problems may arise. Reiki seeks to restore flow, addressing our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual layers.

Reiki - Mystical Healing or Quantum Physics?

Cutting-edge discoveries in the field of Quantum Physics are starting to show us how Reiki may work from a scientific perspective. This is an exciting time as this incredible research reveals more about Energy Healing. Womb Reiki

Having struggled for years with endometriosis and adenomyosis, I was immediately intrigued by the idea of Womb Reiki. I can safely say that a combination of experiencing treatments of womb reiki, training in womb reiki and getting in touch with my womb and my cycle and honouring my bleed has truly transformed things for me. Our wombs are a magical energetic space. As well as being a place of creation of new physical life, the womb is a vessel of intuition, power and creativity and a source of connection to the Divine Feminine.

The womb is also highly receptive and sensitive, meaning painful experiences, both physical and emotional, can be absorbed and settle there. This can cause stagnation and blockages of flow in energy. In addition, ancestral trauma is often stored in the womb, and the subjugation of women across the centuries has an impact too. Add to this the presence of xenoestrogens and toxins in our environment and the stress of modern living, and it's no wonder that so many women are suffering with gynaecological issues. Elemental Retreat Days at the Polurrian on the Lizard

A series of one day retreats during which we will take a deep dive into each of the elements, connecting with Air, Fire, Water and Earth through meditation and sound. We will explore the healing properties of each element and discover aspects of them that resonate with us specifically at this stage of our journey through life.

What to Expect from a Reiki Session

A Reiki session will usually begin with a short discussion. The client will then lie on a massage table, fully clothed. Alternatively, Reiki can be given in a seated position if more comfortable for the client. Reiki Healing can be given both on and off body as the practitioner works on an energetic level. Reiki can also be given and received via distance healing.

Everyone has their own unique experience during a Reiki session. Benefits that are often reported include deep relaxation, better sleep, easing of pain and reduced anxiety levels. It can also help you to feel more grounded and balanced, can promote a general sense of wellbeing, as well as giving a heightened feeling of connection. Reiki can be particularly beneficial for reducing inflammation and is more and more widely used to support patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Reiki Drum

Reiki Drum is a powerful blend of Reiki, Shamanic Drumming and Sound Healing.

Recent research has shown that drumming can accelerate physical healing, boost the immune system and release emotional trauma.

Drumming has been found to alter states of consciousness, causing the brain to switch from Beta to Alpha wave activity. This produces feelings of euphoria and well-being.

Reiki Drum harnesses the power of the drum and combines it with the healing energy of Reiki. This synergy allows our chakras to become balanced and our energy bodies to realign, thus creating mental and emotional harmony.

There are 3 offerings within the Reiki Drum modality. General healing, which allows us to focus on a particular intention together, whether that be a physical or emotional aspect requiring healing. Journeying, much like Shamanic Journeying but held in the light of Reiki, where you may choose to journey to meet a spirit animal, an ancestor, or perhaps receive wisdom surrounding a problem or question. Finally, Soul Retrieval. We all experience wounding in one form or another and often in response to this we protect ourselves by squirreling away a part of ourselves that feels vulnerable. As a result, we are no longer whole. Soul Retrieval allows us to reclaim these hidden parts of ourselves. This can be deep, intense work, but equally liberating and rewarding.
